Senior Team Leader at Creswick House, Fakenham


Jeesal Residential Care Services support and enable individuals with complex behaviours to lead an active and fulfilled life, achieving their personal goals. We are looking for a Senior Team Leader to join our dedicated team of care professionals at our Creswick House residential home, located in Fakenham.

40 hrs pw. Full Time, Permanent. To include weekends.

Job Description

Under your direction and leadership ensure the highest standards of care and support is delivered and maintained to all service users encompassing all appropriate aspects of daily living.

Under the direction of the Service Manager, manage the care and support staff team which will include regular supervision and staff appraisals.

Manage the staff rota and the allocation of staffing levels working in conjunction with the Service Administrator.

Participate in the on-call rota with the Service Manager ensuring that all out of hours issues/emergencies are covered and managed accordingly.

Act as the service Health and Safety co-ordinator ensuring that all aspects of Health and Safety and Infection Control are managed effectively.

To ensure that all service users needs are met as per their individual care and support plans, and that there is consistency in the delivery of these plans.

Be responsible for ensuring that all staff are current with all statutory and mandatory training and that other training requirements are met working in conjunction with the Service Manager.

Candidate Requirements

Should have or be working towards a minimum of a Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care.

Should have accurate written skills coupled with sound report writing capabilities and experience of record keeping to a high standard of content, accuracy and presentation.

Should have a positive attitude and commitment to service users, their development and the service as a whole.

Should have leadership and team working skills and experience.

Needs to be able to manage a demanding workload and tight deadlines, make decisions and act effectively and appropriately to all situations.

Need to have experience of working with people who have a learning disability and other complex needs that may present with challenging behaviours.

Employment Details

Creswick House is in the market town of Fakenham, which lies halfway between the Kings Lynn and Norfolk. It is a vibrant town with a good range of independent shops and well-known high street stores as well as an extensive range of sporting, leisure and educational facilities.

The residential home is subdivided into two interlinked living areas, the downstairs unit has been developed as a specialist elderly service that strives to preserve and maintain dignity, individuality and privacy within a warm and caring environment. The upstairs unit provides support to five adults with a learning disability within the model of supported living.

The tenants of the ground floor and the first floor unit have split the large garden at the rear of the property for separate use. Each tenant has decorated and furnished their room to their individual taste.

Jeesal has been supporting people with complex needs for over 30 years and has received a number of accolades during this time. More recently we have been honoured to be named ‘Independent Secure Healthcare Provider 2015/16’, by Apex, and ‘Large Training Provider of the Year 2015/16’ by the YMCA.
