Cawston Park

Jeesal Cawston Park is an independent specialist service registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) set in 125 acres of beautiful Norfolk countryside.

The service provision and setting at Jeesal Cawston Park offer a pioneering model for facilitating care pathways for people with a learning disability who may also have a co-presenting mental health problem, personality disorder, forensic history or challenging and/or risk type behaviour and can accommodate people who are detained under a section of the Mental Health Act, 1983 (amended 2007) or those who may require the intervention under the framework of the Mental Capacity Act, 2005, to uphold staff interventions and  the rights of service users where an infringement of human rights may occur and to rationalise any possible deprivation of liberty safeguards that may be required, (DoLS). 

A full assessment prior to admission allows for appropriate accommodation within our range of services. Clearly defined goals are negotiated to ensure a positive and memorable experience is facilitated within the Jeesal Group and to ensure all parties are aware of the goal achievement timeline and commissioning parameters.

We provide an individualised and comprehensive care pathway that leads to a smooth transition back to the local community or a service of supported living and greater independence. This is facilitated by our experienced multi-disciplinary team inclusive of nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, an art therapist, a speech and language therapist, social worker, occupational therapists and nurse behaviour therapists as well as dedicated activities team.  All therapies departments are based on site and are exclusively accessed by service users. This team is an eclectic mix of new practitioners that compliment an experienced team that have known each other across a range of health provisions and sectors, and have been brought together over time to continue to play a central role in supporting, enabling and empowering people in their personal recovery journeys at Jeesal Cawston Park.
