Support (Care) Worker (Residential Services)

The Company:

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. To provide the highest standards of direct care and support to our tenants in all aspects of their daily living. as part of a multi- disciplinary team to an identified group of tenants.
  2. To act at all times as a role model for our tenants and be actively involved in supporting tenants in the safe acquisition of skills and engaging tenants in daily activities and leisure/recreational activities as outlined in their care plans.
  3. To significantly contribute, following appropriate training, to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the tenants’ care plans. To promote individual Person Centred Plans.
  4. To participate in tenants’ reviews as required by the Support Service Manager.
  5. To be actively involved with ensuring the consistent delivery of all assessment, treatment and care plans and programmes.
The Person:
  1. Needs to have an NVQ 3/4 qualification in or a Diploma in Health and Social care or be working towards this.
  2. Should have a positive attitude and commitment to tenants, their development and the Service as a whole.
  3. Must be objective, non-discriminatory, approachable and professional and able to act as a good role model for our tenants.
  4. Able to manage change and be flexible and adaptable and able to work a variety of shift patterns including night and weekend working.
  5. Must be able to travel as our residential services are based at various locations throughout Norfolk.

Residential Home Manager

  • Hours: Full Time
  • Position: Home Manager
  • Salary: Negotiable
The Company:

The Jeesal Group is a family run company and is one of the largest providers of residential care in Norfolk. It has been a leading provider of dedicated support and differing services for people with learning disabilities for 25 years.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. To be overall responsible for the efficient running of the home.
  2. To ensure professional and administrative management of the home and promote the highest standard of care to our tenants
  3. To support and supervise team members in accordance with policy and procedures
  4. To monitor and manage regular team meetings and individual supervision of staff
  5. To lead the team in ensuring that the standards and expectations of The CQC essential standards are met.
  6. To implement the homes own PCAS
  7. To ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are met and maintained
  8. To attend or host tenant reviews. 117 meetings and any other meetings required
  9. To monitor and implement the tenants support plan Packages, Risk Assessment’s and policies and procedures.
  10. To provide support if required in emergencies and be prepared to assist within the wider organisation
  11. To represent the service in a professional manner.
  12. To respond to tenants, relatives and visitors in a welcoming and positive manner
  13. To attend sub group meetings and be part of the on call system.
The Person:
  1. Needs to have experience of working in a similar environment and position.
  2. Needs to be flexible in terms of working hours and patterns to ensure management cover and support is readily available at all times (to include sharing bank holiday and week end  work)
  3. Will have the required qualifications for CQC Registration = a minimum of an NVQ 4 qualification in health and social care and an RMA (Registered Managers Award) or equivalent.
  4. Should also have a back ground and knowledge in working with Autism and be able to follow and implement the Autism Accreditation for this home.
  5. Should have a positive attitude and commitment to tenants, their development and the Service as a whole.
  6. Should be able to work independently.
  7. Should have proven leadership and teamwork skills.
  8. Needs to be able to make decisions and act effectively and appropriately to emergencies and difficult situations
