Staff Nurse

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. We have opportunities for experienced and newly qualified NMC registered Nurses.
  2. You will provide professional and high quality nursing input and care for our patients in their Unit/designated area of responsibility and across the Service and will provide nursing advice and support (based on sound evidence and best practice) to all staff in the multi-disciplinary team.
  3. You will help support our Support Workers in providing an efficient and effective quality service in your Unit and across the Service ensuring a high standard of care is delivered at all times.
The Person:
  1. You will possess an RNLD or RNMH qualification.
  2. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  3. You must have a sound clinical knowledge base in your area of specialism, including understanding of the Mental Health Act (1983).
  4. You will have experience of managing a team of staff and providing formal supervision.
  5. You will be able to work positively and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  6. You will be flexible in your working hours and able to work a variety of shift patterns including night and weekend working.
  7. You should have a positive attitude and commitment to patients, their development and the Service as a whole.
  8. You must be objective, non-discriminatory, approachable and professional.

Support (Care) Worker

  • Position: Support Worker

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. To provide the highest standards of direct patient care and support as part of a multi- disciplinary team to an identified group of patients.
  2. To act at all times as a role model for patients and be actively involved in engaging patients in daily activities, educational programme, behavioural support programmes and leisure/recreational activities as outlined in treatment & support plans.
  3. To be actively involved with patient needs lead educational and therapeutic activities to aid rehabilitation in accordance with a patient’s 24 hour individual timetable of events/ activities.
  4. To be actively involved with ensuring the consistent delivery of all assessment and treatment programmes.

The Person:
  1. Needs to have an NVQ 3/4 qualification in or a Diploma in Health and Social care or be working towards.
  2. Should have a positive attitude and commitment to patients, their development and the Service as a whole.
  3. Must be objective, non-discriminatory, approachable and professional and able to act as a good role model for our patients.
  4. Able to manage change and be flexible and adaptable and able to work a variety of shift patterns including night and weekend working.
