The Lodge

The Lodge is an award winning circular building that is light, spacious and sympathetic to its natural surroundings. It sits within the 125-acre rural grounds of Cawston Park, next to the wooded area with views of open countryside.

  • The Lodge provides a structured environment for assessment and treatment.
  • Its unique design holds and enclosed courtyard garden, a real pleasure in the summer months.
  • All 14 large single bedrooms have en suite facilities, and individual thermal and light controls that may be altered to meet specific needs and sensitivities.
  • There are also large separate bathrooms, with a full-length bath to enjoy.
  • Communal areas include a large living room with TV, quiet rooms with a range of soft furnishings, a fully equipped games room and dining room.

Admission Criteria

Male and Female Adults who have a borderline or significant learning disability who may also have a co-presenting mental health problem, personality disorder, forensic history or challenging and/or risk type behaviour. 

Jeesal Cawston Park can accommodate people who are detained under a section of the Mental Health Act, 1983 (amended 2007) or those who may require the intervention under the framework of the Mental Capacity Act, 2005, to uphold staff interventions and the rights of Individuals we support where an infringement of human rights may occur and to rationalize any possible deprivation of liberty safeguards that may be required, (DoLS).

Support and Treatment

We pride ourselves on seeing opportunities rather than obstacles and reflecting this, our prime objective is to assist the Individuals we support to establish and meet the goals that they set for themselves and their future through the shared pathway of therapeutic provision and accommodation provided by the Jeesal Group.

Our services are delivered through a fully integrated multi-professional and inter-disciplinary team approach, drawing upon the specialisation and strengths of the entire professional team. The team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, support workers and an independent advocacy service. They offer a variety of clinical and holistic therapeutic approaches within each service to ensure individual needs are met.

All our clinicians are specifically chosen to work for Jeesal Group on a full time basis thus ensuring a reactive, responsive service. Our clinicians take time to build a shared working relationship with Individuals we support and we believe having this workforce is the secret of our success.

The Jeesal Group functions openly and with transparency, for this reason complaints, comments and suggestions are fundamental tools in improving our service. Experienced professionals who subscribe to the Parliamentary & Health Service Ombudsman’s six principles of good compliant handling staff the Complaints Department. Our reports and documentation are made readily available to the regulating bodies upon request.
