Course Aims:-
  • To raise the profile of people who are affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • To improve the quality of care of people who have ASD.
  • To facilitate the development of services for people who have ASD
  • To develop knowledge and understanding of people with ASD
Learning Outcomes:-
  • Gain a working understanding of ASD
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of the difficulties a person may have within the areas of Social Communication, Social Interaction and Social Understanding and imagination.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of the support systems that can be employed that will enhance the individual's quality of life.
  • Gain knowledge of behavioural issues associated with ASD.
  • Gain a working knowledge of therapeutic interventions in the management of behavioural challenges.

Upon successful completion of this course, the candidate will be certificated by: JRCS Training. This course aims to provide a sound working knowledge to enable the delegate to implement the protocols and procedures with confidence. This course will also give the delegate evidence towards NVQ in Health and Social Care level's 2, 3 & 4.
