- Teaching of all vocabulary within the Adult Learning Disability Core Vocabulary.

To teach all signs in the Adult Learning Disability Core Vocabulary Manual
- To teach the underpinning knowledge to Signalong to enable students signs to read and perform any sign from any Signalong manual
- To have an understanding of the communication needs of the individuals that students are working with.

Gain a basic understanding of communication
- Gain an understanding of the ‘yellow sections' in the manuals to enable access to all signs
- Confidently sign all signs within the Learning Disability Core Vocabulary manual and sign sentences using keywords
- Gain an understanding about teaching signs to the individuals that students support to enable effective communication

Upon successful completion of this course, the candidate will be certificated by: Signalong in accordance with the JEC and NSE. This course aims to provide a sound working knowledge to enable the delegate to
communicate with clients more effectively and confidently. This course will also give the delegate evidence towards NVQ Units: HSC 21, HSC 31, and preparation for further study.
